Here is some information about the 941X form and how it’s used to claim the employee retention credit. The 941X form is the amendment form for your 941 return. Each business that has employees or W2 folks that work for them is required to file tax forms. Basically, we amend those tax returns using a 941X so that the credit can be claimed on your behalf. Because the law was created after those forms were already due, a lot of folks missed out on filing them on their original 941s. So we have to amend it with the 941X to claim the credit.
