The Scale of What Was Unlawfully Collected

Many U.S. importers unknowingly overpaid tariffs. The window to recover them is strictly limited.

$166B+
IEEPA duties collected by U.S. Customs
330,000+
U.S. importers impacted by IEEPA tariffs
180 Days
Strict deadline for liquidated entry protests

Three Paths to Your Refund

Depending on your entry status, Dayes Law Firm pursues the most advantageous recovery pathway for your business. Deadlines are already running.

Phase 1 — CAPE Filing (Fastest)

For unliquidated entries and those within the 80-day voluntary reliquidation window. Filed directly through the CBP ACE Portal. Act immediately to preserve this option.

Phase 1.5 — Formal Protest (Time Sensitive)

For entries 81–180 days post-liquidation. We file a formal protest with CBP within the strict 180-day window. The earliest windows are closing in June 2026.

CIT Litigation

For entries beyond the protest window. We pursue recovery through the Court of International Trade with full legal representation. We are not afraid to fight for you.

Keep More of What You Recover

How you pursue your claim determines how much of your money you actually keep. On a $2,000,000 claim:

Do Nothing

$0

Wait for the government to act. Forfeit your entire claim. Refunds are not being issued automatically.

Hourly Law Firm

High Risk

Pay $1,000+ per hour out of pocket. If the government appeals and wins, you pay all invoices even if you recover nothing.

Deadlines Are Running Now

Over 2,000 companies have already filed protective claims with the Court of International Trade. The legal consensus is clear: file now, do not wait. The government is actively appealing the court order and CBP is rejecting administrative correction attempts.
